SAN ANTONIO, Texas (Diya TV) —  Carmelo Anthony, a 10-time NBA All-Star and high-scoring guard, has been voted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2025, ESPN and Reuters reported.

Selected third overall by the Denver Nuggets in 2003, Anthony wasted little time establishing himself in the NBA. During his eight seasons in Denver, he averaged 24.8 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game, guiding the team to the Western Conference Finals in the 2008-09 season.

In 2011, Anthony was dealt to the New York Knicks, where he continued his scoring excellence. He was the NBA scoring leader in 2012-13 and became a fan favorite in New York. Following spells with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Portland Trail Blazers, and Los Angeles Lakers, Anthony finished his 19-year career with 22.5 points and 6.2 rebounds per game averages, good for 10th place on the NBA all-time scoring list with 28,289 points.

Before his NBA career, Anthony had a phenomenal collegiate career at Syracuse University, guiding the Orange to their first NCAA championship title in 2003 and receiving the Most Outstanding Player award. At the global level, he played for the United States in four Olympic Games, earning three gold medals and one bronze, and is thus among the most decorated American men’s basketball players in Olympic history.

The official induction of the Hall of Fame Class of 2025 will be made on April 5 at the NCAA Men’s Final Four in San Antonio. The ceremony of enshrinement will be held on September 6 in Springfield, Massachusetts.
