LOS ANGELES (Diya TV) — California Attorney General and Senate candidate Kamala Harris is drawing fire from supporters of an anti-abortion activist who claims his First Amendment rights were violated during her office’s raid of his apartment on Tuesday.

David Daleiden, the anti-abortion activist, is under fire himself for his undercover videos about Planned Parenthood. During the Attorney General’s office search of his apartment, agents seized personal information along with “all video footage showing Planned Parenthood’s criminal trade in aborted baby parts,” which he called his “First Amendment work product.”

Some abortion clinics, including Planned Parenthood clinics in three states, make the tissue of aborted fetuses available as a donation. Investigations by a dozen states have been promptly closed with no criminal findings, however, a Republican-led Congressional committee recently opened an inquiry into the fetal tissue market.

Property receipts left by state agents reveals several computers, hard drives and materials from Planned Parenthood conferences were seized. Additionally, agents found multiple California identification cards with names considered to be alias’ of Daleiden himself and his accomplices. He was indicted on felony charges earlier this year in Texas for using a phony government ID.

Harris is running to assume the Senate seat being vacated by Barbara Boxer, and has made support for Planned Parenthood a focal point of her campaign. Her campaign website includes a page that asked supporters to sign a petition “to defend Planned Parenthood.”

“We can all agree on one thing. Washington is broken. Voting to strip federal funding from an organization that provides vital health services to 2.7 million Americans is the epitome of dysfunction,” the post states. “Once again, we need you to take a stand and join Kamala in defending Planned Parenthood.”

In direct response, the director of a California-based advocacy law firm, the Life Legal Defense Foundation, accused Harris of “loyalty to Planned Parenthood” that “requires her to turn a blind eye to the organization’s criminal activities.”

“Instead, she has launched an inquisition into David Daleiden,” said Alexandra Snyder, the foundation’s director.
