WASHINGTON DC (Diya TV) — President Joe Biden announced that Ashish Jha will be the next White House Covid-19 response coordinator, installing a well-known public health commentator on the administration’s pandemic team. Jha is also the dean of Brown University’s School of Public Health.
India is extending a billion-dollar line of credit to Sri Lanka help it’s neighbor cope with the island nation’s worst economic crisis in decades.
The financial aid package will help Sri Lanka make emergency purchases of food, medicines, and essential items. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said India “would continue to stand with the friendly people of Sri Lanka”.
Cloud based tech start up Amagi is entering India’s unicorn club, now valued at more than a billion dollars after its latest round of funding. The company is trying to expand its business around the world.
