NEW YORK (Diya TV) — Saikat Chakrabarti (CHAK-RA-BAR-TEE), the man who helped Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez get elected to Congress in New York, is getting some public criticism from his protege and former boss. Chakrabarti, who co-founded the Justice Democrats political organization and served as Chief of Staff for the Congresswoman before resigning last week, sent out tweets before his departure that were “divisive” says Ocasio-Cortez.
The tweets calling out moderate Democrats were deleted, but received major backlash from their own party, hastening Chakrabarti’s departure. He’s now joined a climate change focused nonprofit called New Consensus.
Kashyap Patel, a former senior attorney for counterterrorism within the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, was appointed senior director of counterterrorism within the National Security Council, a White House based position.
Priya Aiyar, who has major private practice and government experience, is joining American Airlines to serve as a Senior Vice President and General Counsel for the world’s largest airline.
