NEW YORK (Diya TV) — Vimeo CEO Anjali Sud will become the new CEO of Fox’s free ad-supported streaming service Tubi, succeeding founder Farhad Massoudi. Starting September 1, Sud will report to Paul Cheesbrough, CEO of Tubi Media Group. Sud, who has been with Vimeo since July 2017, has a proven track record of growing the platform’s user base to over 300 million and guiding the company through its public listing. She brings extensive experience from roles at Amazon and Time Warner, along with degrees from The Wharton School and Harvard Business School.

Cheesbrough praised Sud’s leadership qualities and disruptive mindset, stating that she is the ideal candidate to lead Tubi’s creative growth and market dominance as the most watched free TV and movie streaming service in the US. Sud’s arrival follows Fox’s reorganization in April, which established Tubi Media Group and integrated various digital platforms and teams. With 64 million monthly active users and a library of 50,000 titles, Tubi is gaining mainstream traction, accounting for 1.3% of all TV watching in May, according to Nielsen.

Sud expressed her excitement about joining Tubi and shaping the future of streaming TV. She believes that Tubi can become the go-to destination for the next generation of audiences by offering free access to a wide range of stories. Sud sees Tubi as a disruptor in the evolving streaming landscape and is eager to seize the opportunity to make a difference.
