ALANTA (Diya TV) – Two 15 year olds from Kentucky are behind bars and charged with shooting and killing Vishal Patel, a gas station clerk at the Kwik Sak store in Nashville. Community members came by the store and left flowers. They say Patel was well-loved and treated all his customers with kindness. Authorities say the two young men went behind the counter and took the cash from his register. That’s when one of them pulled out a gun and shot Patel at point blank range.
Indian American attorney Harmeet Dhillon announced she’s running to chair the Republican National Committee, presenting another direct challenge to its current chairwoman, Ronna McDaniel. Dhillon is a committeewoman from California who leads the Republican National Lawyers Association, and called on the GOP to modernize its fundraising and messaging.
A bipartisan deal could be on the way to help so-called Dreamers stay in America. The deal is not finalized yet and would require a Senate vote, but the framework offers a pathway to citizenship for roughly 2 million undocumented immigrants who were brought to the country illegally.
