Falling tree kills Indian American mom in Cupertino

SAN FRANCISCO (Diya TV) – In California, authorities say an Indian-American mother was killed by a falling tree during a Boy Scouts hiking trip with her son. The 44-year-old woman has been identified as Vidyut Nautiyal. According to local reports, volunteers were unable to lift the tree off Nautiyal and she died at the scene.
The US Citizenship and Immigration Services announced it’s letting certain international students use premium processing for work authorization to fast track the application. The move will likely benefit a lot of Indian students who come to study in the US fields of science, math, engineering, and technology.
Indian American Hari Balakrishnan has received the prestigious Marconi Prize for his fundamental discoveries in wired and wireless networking, mobile sensing, and distributed systems. He’s currently an MIT professor.
