Kshama Sawant will not run for re-election

SEATTLE (Diya TV) – Controversial Seattle City Council Member Kshama Sawant says she will not run for re-election after serving ten years. Instead, the self proclaimed socialist and communist says she’s now starting a national movement called Workers Strike Back focused on labor rights and an anti-capitalism agenda. The Indian American elected official is expected to finish out her term.
Prominent attorney Harmeet Dhillon is running for Republican National Committee chairwoman, but says she is facing bigoted attacks from her fellow party leaders because of her Sikh faith. Dhillon did not out anyone by name but says she’s been receiving threats over the phone and social media. However, she’s not giving up and says she will continue to be in the race for the top position.
India and the United States have created a new working group to build sustainable supply chains and boost trade, focused on emerging technology, clean energy and finance.
