USCIS extends expired green cards for 2 years

SAN FRANCISCO (Diya TV) – Starting today, The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services will automatically extend expired Green Cards for 24 months when lawful permanent residents apply for naturalization. This update is expected to help many Indians and South Asian applicants, especially in the tech sector.

The soccer community continues to mourn the loss of well respected sports journalist Grant Wahl who suddenly died while covering the World Cup in Qatar. Wahl’s brother suggested in an Instagram video that Wahl may have been killed days after he was temporarily detained for wearing a t-shirt supporting gay pride. Wahl’s reporting has also been critical of government officials in Qatar. Wahl’s wife is Indian American doctor Celine Gounder, who is also a medical journalist.  

Apple partner Foxconn will invest another $500 million in India as it ramps up plans to expand its chipmaking factories in the market that is becoming a key hardware hub for Apple.
