California Sikh family missing – suspected kidnapper in custody

SAN FRANCISCO (Diya TV) – Authorities say a man suspected of kidnapping a Sikh family, including an 8-month-old baby, in central California tried to kill himself and is hospitalized in critical condition. Investigators have identified the suspect as 48 year old Jesus Salgado after he allegedly used one of the victims ATM cards. The family was kidnapped Monday at gunpoint from a business and is still missing.

After devastating floods, Pakistan says it’s out of money and now requesting help from the United Nations and others around the world. Officials say people are in immediate need of food and medicine. The UN now believes it must come up with more than $800 million to meet the demands of this humanitarian crisis.
