Droupadi Murmu becomes India’s 15th president

NEW DELHI (Diya TV) — Droupadi Murmu is India’s next president. She received more than 60 percent of the total vote. Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated her while others broke out in celebration on the streets.
Yashwant Sinha conceded defeat after three rounds of counting. President-elect Murmu will take oath later this month.
A former Coinbase manager and two others have been charged in a cryptocurrency insider trading scheme. Indian Americans Ishan Wahi and his brother Nikil, along with Sameer Ramani are facing multiple wire fraud charges.
Indian American infectious diseases doctor Nahid Bhadelia will be joining the White House Global Covid-19 response team. It’s also led by another Indian American Doctor Ashish Jha.
