Rep. Omar under scrutiny over Pakistan trip | Diya TV News

ISLAMABAD (Diya TV) — Congresswoman Ilhan Omar is under scrutiny for a recent trip to Pakistan. The U.S. State Department says the Democrat from Minnesota is refusing to say who paid for her travels and it’s unclear why she’s staying quiet. She’s being called out as well for her anti-India rhetoric since she only raised concerns about human rights violations against minorities in Jammu & Kashmir. Omar is a practicing Muslim and is also getting slammed for being quiet on Islamic-funded terrorism in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar is highlighting recent talks with a U.S. Congressional delegation led by Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, where they discussed Ukraine, Afghanistan, South Asia, and strengthening bilateral cooperation. Jaishankar also touted India’s growth and progress.

And in baby news, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas have named their baby daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas.
