ISLAMABAD (Diya TV) — Congresswoman Ilhan Omar is under scrutiny for a recent trip to Pakistan. The U.S. State Department says the Democrat from Minnesota is refusing to say who paid for her travels and it’s unclear why she’s staying quiet. She’s being called out as well for her anti-India rhetoric since she only raised concerns about human rights violations against minorities in Jammu & Kashmir. Omar is a practicing Muslim and is also getting slammed for being quiet on Islamic-funded terrorism in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar is highlighting recent talks with a U.S. Congressional delegation led by Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, where they discussed Ukraine, Afghanistan, South Asia, and strengthening bilateral cooperation. Jaishankar also touted India’s growth and progress.

Kashmiri separatist leader Yasin Malik guilty on terror charges | Diya TV News

SAN FRANCISCO (Diya TV) — Radical separatist leader Mohammad Yasin Malik is pleading guilty in a terror funding case. The court said Malik had set up an elaborate structure and mechanism across the world to raise funds for carrying out unlawful activities in Jammu and Kashmir in the name of “freedom struggle” for Muslims. The blockbuster movie The Kashmir Files is based in part off Malik’s efforts to cleanse Kashmir of Hindus.

Indian-American Arun Venkataraman was sworn in as the Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Global Markets and Director General of the US and Foreign Commercial Service for the International Trade Administration. He was appointed by President Biden and lead more than 1400 people.

Six-year-old Indian American Kiara Kaur has become the youngest keynote speaker to address any World Expo, prompting World Book of Records in London to acknowledge this as a world record.

COLOMBO (Diya TV) — Sri Lanka is plunging into chaos. The country’s Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa resigned Monday following weeks of protests demanding he and his brother who is the president, step down over the country’s worst economic crisis in decades.
