Sikh American soldiers sue US Marine Corps over religious rights

WASHINGTON DC (Diya TV) — The U.S. Marine Corps is on the defensive as four Sikhs are now suing. They claim the Marine Corps refuses to allow them to keep their beards during most deployments abroad and requires them to remove their turbans and beards during training. Many Sikhs do not cut their hair or shave their beards as an outward commitment to their faith, and the lawsuit claims the Sikh men are being forced to choose between their career and their faith.

Indian American Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal called an all hands on meeting this week with employees and urged them not to feel like they’re being held hostage after Tesla CEO Elon Musk put in a bid to buy Twitter for $43 billion. Musk’s decision not to join Twitter’s board now allows the possibility for a hostile takeover by Musk.
