Suspect caught in the hate crime against Sikh cab driver

NEW YORK (Diya TV) — New York Police arrested Mohamed Hassanain for allegedly attacking a Sikh taxi driver. Hes also accused of yelling racist slurs at the cab driver, who only wants to go by Mr. Singh for privacy reasons. Hassanain could face hate crime charges. According to the FBI, Siks remain the top three most frequently targeted groups for religiously motivated hate crimes. 

Vermont State Senator Kesha Ram Hinsdale announced her candidacy for Vermont’s open At-Large Congressional Seat. The Indian American says she’s running to fight for working families, democracy, and the climate.  Hinsdale is a Democrat and within hours of launching her campaign, raised more one hundred thousand dollars. 

Aisha Visram is the first woman to work on the bench of an NHL regular-season game in any capacity when she served as athletic trainer for the Los Angeles Kings in their 6-2 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins.  She stepped in because three Kings support staffers were unavailable because of COVID-19 protocols.
