India’s vaccine exports to countries in need resume

WASHINGTON DC (Diya TV) — India’s Serum Institute says low-income countries will start receiving much-needed exports of the COVID-19 vaccines this week, now that India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi is lifting restrictions after cutting off all exports in order to keep vaccines for his own population. The CEO of the world’s largest vaccine maker says he will call on wealthy countries to stop giving out booster shots until people living in low-income countries have had it as well.
Pakistani American Danish Baig was one of eight people killed in the deadly stage surge at the Astroworld Festival concert in Houston. He’s being credited for saving the life of his fiancee during the chaos that erupted as rapper Travis Scott performed at NRG Stadium last Friday.
Many Democrats let out a sigh of relief when the House finally passed the more than 1 trillion dollar infrastructure bill that boosts transportation, broadband, and utilities spending. It fulfills one part of President Joe Biden’s domestic vision but Democrats are now trying to clear multiple hurdles to enact an even larger investment in the social safety net and climate policy.
