Protestors picket Santa Clara County ahead of the caste hearing

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (Diya TV) — Protestors took to the streets of ahead of a major hearing in Santa Clara County on Thursday. Officials are trying to determine if “caste” can be used as a separate category in their discrimination policy.  Critics say this effort being led by Equality Labs is Anti Indian and Anti hindu.  Diya tv will be live streaming this event on our youtube channel starting at 5:30pm.

A recall effort to oust California Governor Gavin Newsom is now official. Organizers gathered 1.6 million signatures. Critics say Newsom botched the state’s Covid-19 response after instituting policies that were too strict, leading to crippling financial consequences for many businesses and was also sued by advocates for religious freedom because of his early restrictions on houses of worship.  Newsom says he’s prepared to fight the recall.

And Ajit Pai is enjoying life after leading the Federal Communications Commission.  Private equity firm Search Light Capital Partners announced the Indian American is joining as a partner.
