KARNATAKA, India (Diya TV)  — A 76-year-old man returning to India from Saudi Arabia became India’s first COVID-19 victim. Indian health officials say they were able to isolate the man and follow safety protocols put in place. But with the total case count now up to 74, Indian Prime Minister Modi is urging people to avoid non-essential travel & large gatherings. One of those afflicted is an employee of Google in India, who works on their Bangalore campus. Earlier in the week, Google CEO Sundar Pichai announced their employees would be allowed to work from home. In the U.S., the impact of the coronavirus continues to spread. There are now in excess of 1600 cases and at least 40 deaths. California Governor Gavin Newsom announced that his state of 40 million people only has 8,000 testing kits, most of which are incomplete, pleading with federal officials to increase that supply. All of this uncertainty is hammering the stock market, which dropped an additional 10%, the worst single day since ‘Black Monday’ in 1987.
