4 Dead, 19 Injured in Gilroy Garlic Festival Shooting

GILROY, Calif. (Diya TV) — A mass shooting as the Gilroy Garlic Festival in Northern California wrapped up left 4 people dead, including the suspected shooter and 19 others injured. Among the dead was 6-year-old Steven Romero, 13-year-old Keyla Salazar and 25-year-old Trevor Irby.
The suspect in the shooting is 19-year-old Santino William Legan, a Gilroy resident, who police say legally purchased ‘AK-47-style’ rifle. Gilroy Police killed Legan less than a minute after the shooting began. The venue remains an active crime scene.
Days after President Trump tweeted four Congresswomen of color should ‘go back’ to where they came from, the President attacked Congressman Elijah Cummings of Baltimore on Twitter, saying his ‘District is a disgusting, rat and rodent infested mess.’ Cummings called the President a racist for that tweet against his colleagues.
