KOLKATA, India (Diya TV) — Xterra Solutions, a Silicon Valley-based IT company, filed a lawsuit against the US government for denying a H-1B visa to a qualified Indian professional for “arbitrary” reasons. Only 65,000 H1-B visas are allowed each fiscal year as mandated by Congress.
Trade experts believe the ongoing trade war between the US and China will help India tap export opportunities in both countries in areas like agriculture, clothing, cars and machinery. It may also be an opportunity for Indian companies to receive investments from Chinese companies.
US Navy Chief Admiral John Richardson said his recent visit to India was a “critical opportunity” to strengthen ties between the two navies with their shared vision of an open Indo-Pacific region.
Amazon is facing an online boycott for allowing the sale of products like bathroom mats and toilet seats featuring the images of Hindu deities.
And two Indian American students, Karan Menon and Samvrit Rao, swept the U.S. national championships in the varsity and junior varsity levels of the International Geography Bee.
