SAN FRANCISCO (Diya TV) — Kareena Garg, a resident of Naperville, Illinois and junior at Waubonsie Valley High School, took home the first runner-up spot at the National American Miss Illinois Jr. Teen pageant held July 1-3 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Garg, who was previously the winner of the NAM Spokesmodel speech competition, additionally won the Miss Personality title, where she was judged on multiple fronts, including for her onstage personal introduction, interview with a panel of judges, formal wear round, community service involvement and her overall poise and presence during the final pageant.

With the mantra of achieving anything through the efforts of hard work and determination, Garg said National American Miss gives an incredible opportunity for girls to achieve confidence, communication skills, poise, and make lifelong friendships through the process of preparing and competing in a pageant which promotes a girl’s natural beauty.

The Indian American teen will now be competing for the National All-American Miss Jr. Teen title in Anaheim, Calif., this November.
